International Balkan University proudly celebrated the Graduation Ceremony of the Class of 2026 at the IBU Campus in Skopje, marking another unforgettable milestone in the University’s academic journey. Held during the year of IBU’s 20th anniversary, the ceremony brought together graduates, families, academic staff, distinguished guests, and members of the wider IBU community in an atmosphere filled with pride, excitement, and emotional moments.

The ceremony officially began with the opening remarks of the moderator, followed by the screening of the IBU promotional video reflecting the University’s achievements, international vision, and dynamic campus life over the past two decades. Addressing the audience, Rector Prof. Dr. Lütfi Sunar congratulated the graduates and emphasized the importance of knowledge, responsibility, and international engagement in shaping the future. On behalf of the IBU Board of Trustees, Board Member Mr. Bilal Sucubaşı delivered his remarks, while IBU Honorary President Recep Süleyman Özdil also addressed the audience and highlighted the importance of investing in future generations through education. The ceremony was further honored by the presence and speeches of Member of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye Ahmet Kılıç, Ambassador of Türkiye to North Macedonia H.E. Fatih Ulusoy, Minister in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade of the Republic of North Macedonia Timcho Mucunski, representative of the Government of the Republic of North Macedonia Bekim Sali, and Speaker of the Parliament of North Macedonia Afrim Gashi.

One of the most anticipated moments of the evening was the diploma distribution ceremony, during which graduates proudly received their diplomas in front of their families, friends, and loved ones after years of dedication and hard work. The ceremony continued with the recognition of the Best Students of the Generation 2026, followed by an inspiring speech delivered on behalf of the graduating class. The evening concluded with the traditional countdown and the symbolic “Flying Caps” moment, creating unforgettable memories for all attendees before the graduation celebration continued with the graduation party.
