International Balkan University had the pleasure of welcoming distinguished representatives from leading Turkish media institutions to our campus as part of an official visit aimed at strengthening communication, international visibility, and institutional cooperation. Among the visiting media professionals were Bahtışen Altan from Habertürk TV, Damla Yılmazkaya, Umut Derviş Erdem from Hürriyet Newspaper, Burcu Şen from Sabah Newspaper, Meryem Gündoğdu from Türkiye Newspaper, Mücahit Türkmen from Anadolu Agency, Özgür Feyiz from Haber Global, together with Haber Global cameraman Ferhat Açıl, Ülke TV cameraman Kerem Danış, and reporter Betül Varan. Through this meaningful visit, we had the opportunity to present the academic vision, multicultural environment, and dynamic campus life that continue to position IBU as one of the leading higher education institutions in the region.
The guests were welcomed by our Rector, Prof. Dr. Lütfi Sunar, President Dr. Bilal Sucubaşı, our Vice Rector Asst. Prof. Dr. Ahmet Lökçe, and Teaching Assistant Muhammed Fatih Kaytan. During the visit, productive discussions were held regarding higher education, international academic cooperation, student opportunities, and the growing role of universities in strengthening regional and international connections. Following the official meeting, our Rector Prof. Dr. Lütfi Sunar gave an interview in which he shared valuable insights regarding the mission, educational vision, and future goals of International Balkan University, while also emphasizing our commitment to academic excellence, innovation, and internationalization.
After the interview session, our Vice Rector Asst. Prof. Dr. Ahmet Lökçe and Teaching Assistant Muhammed Fatih Kaytan guided the media representatives on a comprehensive campus tour, introducing them to the facilities, academic units, student-centered learning environment, and ongoing institutional developments at IBU. Throughout the visit, our guests had the opportunity to closely observe the vibrant atmosphere of our university and engage with the values that define our educational approach. We believe that such visits contribute significantly to strengthening international recognition and fostering meaningful collaborations with media institutions, while further promoting the academic and cultural identity of International Balkan University on a broader platform.
