We were pleased to host the Academic Well-Being Workshop, organized by the IBU Teaching and Learning Center in a relaxed outdoor setting on our campus. Designed to encourage reflection, dialogue, and personal development, the workshop brought together members of our academic community to explore one of the most significant aspects of contemporary academic life: maintaining a healthy balance between professional responsibilities and personal well-being. As a university committed to excellence in education, we recognize that supporting the well-being of our academic staff is essential for fostering a productive, innovative, and sustainable learning environment.
Facilitated by Fatime Ziberi from the Department of Psychological Counseling and Guidance within the Faculty of Education, the workshop provided participants with a valuable opportunity to engage in meaningful discussions about work-life balance and the challenges faced in today’s dynamic academic landscape. Through interactive activities and guided conversations, academic staff shared personal experiences, exchanged perspectives, and explored practical strategies that contribute to long-term professional satisfaction and personal fulfillment. The collaborative atmosphere encouraged open communication and reinforced the importance of well-being as a key component of academic success.
This initiative reflects our ongoing commitment to creating a supportive university culture that values not only academic achievement but also the holistic development of our staff and community members. By providing opportunities for reflection, professional growth, and meaningful engagement, we continue to strengthen the foundations of a healthy and thriving academic environment. We sincerely thank Fatime Ziberi for her insightful facilitation and all participants for their active involvement, and we look forward to organizing further initiatives that promote well-being, collaboration, and excellence across our university.
