The official opening ceremony of the DIGIAGE Eastern Europe-Balkans Game Development Camp 2025 took place today at the International Balkan University (IBU) campus in Skopje, North Macedonia.
The event brought together distinguished guests and stakeholders from across the region, with opening speeches delivered by IBU Rector Prof. Dr. Lütfi Sunar, Bilişim Vadisi General Manager Erkam Tüzgen, and DIGIAGE Director Emre Yıldız. Each highlighted the growing potential of the gaming industry and the importance of international collaboration in fostering innovation and digital entrepreneurship.
Held in partnership between IBU, Bilişim Vadisi (Türkiye), and Singidunum University (Serbia), this year’s camp gathers 65 participants from countries including Türkiye, Azerbaijan, Serbia, and North Macedonia. Over the next four days, attendees will work intensively to develop two innovative game prototypes, under the guidance of expert mentors and industry professionals.
As a dynamic hub of academic excellence and international cooperation, IBU continues to lead the way in empowering young talents in the digital world. With its modern infrastructure and commitment to innovation, IBU offers the perfect environment for nurturing creativity, cross-border collaboration, and entrepreneurial spirit.
The DIGIAGE Game Development Camp is part of the Erasmus+ 2023-3-KA210-YOU-000184390 project and provides a unique opportunity for aspiring game developers to gain hands-on experience, strengthen their skills, and build lasting professional networks.
While the opening ceremony has concluded, participants will continue their projects until April 25, exploring the full game development cycle from concept to prototype — all in the vibrant and supportive atmosphere of IBU.
