IBU students visited Finmak DOO as part of the Dive into the World of Fintech workshop, organized by Finmak DOO in cooperation with the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, and led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Andrijana Bojadzievska Danevska.
During the visit, students participated in a four-hour workshop that began with a company tour, followed by a presentation by COO Darko Stojanovski, who shared insights into Finmak's mission, vision, corporate values, organizational structure, and the responsibilities of a COO.
Afterwards, the Heads of each department discussed their operations and activities, covering areas such as marketing, legal affairs, quality assurance, internal audit, compliance, customer support, IT, and more. As a non-banking financial institution serving the unbanked population, Finmak's representatives also highlighted their role in promoting financial literacy. Students were given the opportunity to observe a simulation of the online loan approval process.
At the end of the visit, information about internship opportunities was shared with the students, along with guidance on how to apply.
Many thanks to Finmak DOO for their warm hospitality and for providing us with practical insights into the functioning of their company, as well as the broader impact they strive to achieve in the financial sector.
This visit offered our students valuable hands-on learning, bridging the gap between academic knowledge and real-world applications within a dynamic and socially responsible corporate environment. We look forward to future collaborations and continued engagement with Finmak DOO.
