International Balkan University welcomed participants for the opening of the physical component of the Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Program (BIP) titled “Redesigning the Future: Sustainable Food Packaging and Business Innovation.”
The opening ceremony began with a warm welcome speech by the Vice-Rector for Projects and Research, Prof. Dr. Snezana Bilic. She was joined by hosts from the Faculty of Art and Design, the Dean Prof. Dr. Aleksandra Ristovska and Prof. Dr. Maja Gjureska, as well as the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Liza Alili Sulejmani.
The event continued with a presentation of International Balkan University by the Head of the International Relations Office. Following this, students from the partner universities introduced their institutions. The team from Aspira University of Applied Sciences, Croatia, consisting of students from both the Zagreb and Split campuses, gave a joint presentation about their university. Students from the University of Applied Sciences Marko Marulić of Knin, Croatia and the Radom Academy of Economics, Poland, also shared insights into their academic environments and student life.
The evening concluded with an international potluck dinner, where students shared traditional snacks and small dishes from their home countries, along with the personal stories and cultural meanings behind them. This activity encouraged cultural exchange and created a relaxed and friendly environment where students could connect.
