On 28 April 2026, we proudly hosted an enriching academic session at the Faculty of Law of International Balkan University, organized and coordinated by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Natalija Shikova and Asst. Entoni Miska. We had the distinct honor of welcoming two esteemed specialists from the Think Tank Center for Change Management, Mrs. Aneta Ivanova Stojanovska and Mr. Dimitar Vrglevski, whose expertise brought valuable real-world perspectives into our academic environment. This event reflected our continued commitment to integrating professional experience into our teaching processes and strengthening the connection between theoretical knowledge and practical application.

As part of the Administrative Procedural Law course and in collaboration with the IBU Legal Clinic, we facilitated a comprehensive lecture titled “Discretionary Powers of the Public Administration.” Through this session, we explored both the theoretical foundations and the practical implications of administrative discretion within modern governance systems. The speakers addressed key legal principles that regulate and limit discretionary authority, emphasizing the importance of preventing arbitrariness in public administration. They further enhanced the learning experience by presenting practical methodologies for identifying and analyzing discretionary provisions within legislation, supported by relevant case studies that bridged academic concepts with real-life scenarios.

We witnessed active and meaningful engagement from our students, who contributed to a dynamic academic dialogue by raising thoughtful questions on constitutional safeguards and the legal consequences of administrative decision-making. This interactive exchange demonstrated the strength of our student-centered approach and our dedication to developing critical thinking and professional competencies.
