Criminal Law
Faculty of Law

About Department

The academic goal of the master's program in criminal law within the Faculty of Law is to provide students with the ability to think about social problems from a legal and logical aspect. The program in criminal law offers a wide variety of courses, including criminal law, security, criminology, and other related courses, as well as a mandatory advanced program that will enable students to learn proactively.

The criminal law master program aims to equip the students with legal principles, knowledge, and skills that will help them solve problems in today's global world which is becoming more and more dynamic and complex from a penal, legal, and security point of view. After its completion, students acquire a Master's degree in criminal law and such a profile represents the continuity of law graduates produced at the first cycle studies level.

The teaching content offered through the conceptualized subject programs represents the improvement of the acquired knowledge from the first cycle and the upgrading of new scientific knowledge from penalized legal science and more related scientific disciplines.

The students are the target groups who graduated from the study program in criminal law, security, criminology, and other study programs of our faculty as well as students from other universities and faculties that educate in the field of security, those with related fields of research and study and who have the ambition to supplement their acquired knowledge, upgrade and reform in the area of penal forensics.

This scientific discipline, due to its epistemological character, connects and uses scientific achievements of other sciences from the social and natural sphere of study, but adapts them to its needs.
