About Department

Healthcare management is the science of coordinating various operational and administrative tasks of managers in various healthcare organizations and institutions. It ensures that health services are delivered efficiently, effectively and equitably.

The main goal of introducing the Healthcare Management study program, at the Master's level, is to enable future leaders in the health sector to acquire theoretical-methodological and professional knowledge and skills in the field of theory and practice in the management of healthcare systems and organizations. The respective study program is based on modern scientific knowledge in the field of healthcare management.

The demand for healthcare managers is constantly increasing due to several factors, such as the expectation of a longer life expectancy, various treatments available to patients, increased problems, risks, uncertainties in human life expectancy, advances in medicine, but also, as a result of the growth of the medical tourism. Likewise, students who complete this study program are expected to be professionally prepared to respond to the challenges of the modern healthcare sector, to manage healthcare organizations and institutions more efficiently and effectively. Careers offered by completing this study program are healthcare managers, medical directors, healthcare administration workers, health supervisors, clinic directors, etc.
