The International Balkan University Turkish Language and Literature Master's Program is an innovative program accredited in the 2021/2022 academic year. The duration of the program is one (1) year, and courses are taken in the first half of the academic year and the thesis writing phase starts in the second half.
Our university's Turkish Language and Literature Master's Program is designed to provide students with in-depth knowledge of the structure and functioning of the Turkish language. This program offers a theoretical and practical basis in the learning process by addressing topics such as the historical development of the language, grammatical structures, vocabulary, grammar rules and phonetics. In addition, it aims to develop students' interpretive skills by examining different periods of Turkish literature, important writers and poets, and literary formations.
The program aims to guide students to conduct research, develop academic writing skills, and think critically, while also providing the necessary academic infrastructure to contribute to Turkish culture and literature. By increasing their knowledge in the field of language and literature, students have the opportunity to pursue an academic career and work in various sectors in the field of literature.
In addition, it aims to train competent individuals in these fields by providing students with analytical thinking, creative writing, critical learning, and research skills, while also emphasizing the social and cultural dimensions of language. In short, the program offers an education that increases students' literary knowledge and enables them to gain knowledge in the field of Turkish culture and literature.
