English Language Assessment

English Language Assessment at Our University

To ensure students receive the right level of English instruction, our Language School offers two categories of exams:

1. Entry-Level Exams

These exams are taken before students begin their English sessions.

  • Exemption Exam: Determines whether a student is already proficient in English and can be exempted from attending the Language School.
  • Placement Exam: For students who will attend the Language School, this test identifies their starting level to place them in the appropriate session.

2. In-Session Exams

These exams are conducted during the academic sessions to track progress.

  • Midterm Exam: Evaluates students’ understanding of the material covered in the first half of the session.
  • Final Exam: Assesses overall language proficiency at the end of the session.
  • Reader’s Quiz: Tests comprehension of assigned reading materials tailored to each student’s level.
