What is the ÖSYM Scholarships and Discounts?
The ÖSYM Scholarships and Discounts program is a financial aid initiative for students who are placed in university programs through The Central Placement Exam or Special Talent Exams conducted by ÖSYM.
Students who include one of our university's Tuition-Based, 25% Discounted, or 50% Discounted undergraduate programs among their top five (5) choices and are placed in one of these programs by ÖSYM will receive an additional 10% discount on the tuition fee of the relevant program.
Who Can Apply?
Eligibility for the ÖSYM scholarships and discounts is determined by the results of The Central Placement Exam or Special Talent Exams. The program is open to:
- Students placed in the YKS Guide quotas through central placement by ÖSYM.
- Students admitted to undergraduate programs through special talent exams, where their scholarship/discount rates are determined based on their performance in these exams.
Application Requirements
To apply for the ÖSYM Scholarships and Discounts, candidates must:
1. Have been placed in a university program through the central placement system or special talent exams conducted by ÖSYM.
2. Meet the specific criteria set for scholarship or discount rates, which are determined by their rankings and placements in these exams.
Benefits and Conditions
The ÖSYM Scholarships and Discounts offer:
- Non-refundable financial aid that covers the entire average education period of the undergraduate program.
- Continuation of the scholarship or discount regardless of academic performance, such as course passing or weighted GPA.
However, it's important to note that:
- Students who take the central placement exam while already enrolled in an undergraduate program and re-enter the university will lose their previous scholarship or discount if they re-register.
Graduates from any higher education institution who are placed in the International Balkan University's scholarship or discounted undergraduate programs based on their YKS results are ineligible for the ÖSYM scholarships and discounts and must enroll in the paid program.
