YKS Success Rating Scholarships is a transformative opportunity designed to recognize and reward the academic achievements of students who demonstrate good performance in the central placement exam conducted by ÖSYM. What is the YKS Success Rating Scholarships?
The YKS Success Rating Scholarships are awarded based on the success brackets determined by the central placement exam results. These scholarships are intended to support students throughout their academic journey, covering nine months a year for compulsory foreign language preparatory education (one year) and undergraduate studies (four years), excluding optional initial foreign language education.
Eligibility Criteria
This scholarship is available to students who:
- Achieve placement in undergraduate programs at the University according to their performance in the relevant score type of the central placement exam conducted by ÖSYM.
- Fall within the specific success brackets outlined for the scholarship without needing additional placements or other points considerations.
Application Process
- There is no need for a written application from students for the YKS Degree Scholarship.
- The Student Affairs Unit automatically identifies eligible students and notifies them through the Rectorate within five working days following the announcement of the central placement exam results.
Scholarship Amounts
Students who rank within the specified score range for the relevant YKS (Higher Education Entrance Exam) program type and choose our university will be awarded monthly achievement (ranking) scholarships for 9 months as follows:
- Those ranking in the top 1,000: €500 per month
- Those ranking between 1,001 – 10,000: €300 per month
- Those ranking between 10,001 – 50,000: €200 per month
Conditions for Continuation
The scholarship will be discontinued if a student:
- Ends the academic year with a cumulative GPA below 5.00 out of 10.
- Fails to renew registration without a valid legal excuse.
- Receives disciplinary punishment or is dismissed from the University.
- Suspends their registration (scholarship benefits are paused during suspension).
Restrictions
- Students retaking the ÖSYM exam to place in an undergraduate program while already enrolled in another or those who have previously earned a bachelor's degree from any higher education institution are not eligible.
· For students transferring internally, the duration they are entitled to the YKS Degree Scholarship from their original program will carry over to the new program.
